APPROVAL OF FOUR (4) DIRECTIONAL SIGNS FOR ST PAULS EVANGELICAL
LUTHERAN CHURCH OF S66 W14325 JANESVILLE ROAD a
WHEREAS, Plans for a direction sign for St. Pads Evangelical Lutheran Church were
submitted on January 9, 1998, and
WHEREAS, The sign proposed is a 2 square foot (2’ X 2.5’) colored metal, and
WHEREAS, Said sign will be displayed at the four (4) following locations:
1, The southwest comer of the intersection of Racine Avenue and Janesville Road, and
2. The southwest comer of the intersection of College Avenue and Moorland Road, and
3. The south end of the intersection of Janesville Road and Moorland Road, and
4. The northwest comer of Woods Road and Durham Drive.
WHEREAS, Section 6.09 (8)(b)(4) of the Sign Ordinance permits the placement of no
more the four (4) directional signs not to exceed two (2) square feet indicating direction to a
church in any district upon approval by the Plan Commission.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of a 2 square foot
colored metal plate directional sign for St. Pads Evangelical Lutheran Church at the following
locations: e 1 The southwest comer of the intersection of Racine Avenue and Janesville Road, This location is
contingent upon measuring tbis area to be within a two (2) mile radius. If location is not within
the radius anotber suitable location will need to be determined and
2. The southwest corner of the intersection of College Avenue and Moorland Road, and
3. The south end comer of Janesville Road and Moorland Road, and
4. The northwest comer of Woods Road and Durham Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a
copy of said plans be kept on file in an address file in the Building Department or a ‘/4 Section file
in the Planning Department and all aspect of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless
otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in
this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
