RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE
YEAR 2010 ARTERIAL STREET AND HIGHWAY SYSTEM PLAN
RELATING TO DURHAM ROAD
(CITY OF MUSKEGO)
WHEREAS, The Common Council, upon recommendation of the Plan Commission,
approved the Year 2010 Arterial Street and Highway System Plan for the City of Muskego dated
September of 1993, and
WHEREAS, Subsequent changedamendments to said plan have been approved by the
Common Council upon recommendation of the Plan Commission, and
WHEREAS, Said plan, as amended, illustrates a 100 foot wide arterial right-of-way
designation for Durham Road between Janesville Road and Woods Road, and
WHEREAS, With the alignment of Moorland Road between Janesville Road and Woods
Road being finalized it becomes unnecessary to continue to classify this section of Durham Road
as an arterial street. and
WHEREAS, A reclassificatioddowngrade of this portion of Durham Road from a 100
foot wide arterial to an 80 foot collector would be appropriate. a THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission of the City of Muskego
does hereby recommend to the Common Council that the Year 2010 Arterial Street and Highway
System Plan be amended to reclassifyldowngrade the stretch of Durham Road from Janesville
Road to Woods Road from a 100 foot wide arterial to an 80 foot collector,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That subject amendment is considered a non-substantial
change to the Year 2010 Arterial Street and Highway System Plan thus not requiring a public
hearing.
