APPROVAL TO AMEND A BUILDWG, SITE AND OPERATION PLAN
FOR ED SCHURMANN AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT
S75 W16770 JAhESVILLE ROAD
(OLD DAIRY QUEEN BUILDING)
WHEREAS, Plans were submitted to change the parapet roof of the old Dairy Queen
building at the property located at S75 W16770 Janesville Road on December 5, 1997, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-4/0PD, Highway Business with a Planned
Development Overlay and is also located within the boundaries of areas affected by the
Downtown Design Guide, and
WHEREAS, Plans indicate that the change to the building will be the removal of a central
raised parapet along the street (south) side of the building, leaving the roof line level, and
replacing the red roof with black dimensional shingles, and
WHEREAS, No other alterations to the building, grounds, exterior lighting or landscaping
are proposed at this time.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of an amended
Janesville Road.
building, site and operation plan for Ed Schurmann at the property located at 575 W16770
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building
Department and that all aspect of this plan as they relate to landscape areas building facades and
drainage shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in
this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That four (4) 2-1/2 inch diameter trees spaced in 50 foot
intervals be planed on the Janesville frontage of property. Any future change with outside lighting
must come into conformance with City standards. The drive-thru will not be used.
