APPROVAL OF A DIRECTIONAL/OPERATIONAL SIGN FOR MUSKEG0 VOLUNTEER
FIRECOMPANY AT THE PROPERTY LOCATE AT
S76 W17858 JANESVILLEROAD
WHEREAS, Plans were submitted on December 5, 1997 by the Muskego Volunteer Fire
Company to install a directionaVoperational sign at their property located at S76 W17858
Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned RS-3/0LP, Suburban Residence with an Institutional
and Public Service Overlay, and
WHEREAS, Section 6.09 (8) (a) allows for flexibility for overlay uses as determined by
the Plan Commission in establishing the size and locational requirements for signage such that
they are compatible with similar uses, and
WHEREAS, The Muskego Volunteer Fire Company has submitted plans to erect a 4 x 4
foot directionalloperational sign on an 8 x 8 foot post frame that would also hold informational
and directional signage for events held within the parcel grounds, and
WHEREAS, The location of the sign will be on the east entrance of the parcel grounds
and wlthln the County right-of-way for CTH L (Janesville Road) and there is an existing
ldentlficatlon slgn on the west end of the parcel grounds. . : .. .
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of a 4 x 4 foot
directionaVoperational sign and an 8 x 8 foot post frame that would also hold informational and
directional signage for events held within the parcel grounds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building
Department and that all aspect of this plan as they relate to landscape areas and drainage shall be
maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in
this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign will be placed on the property line in right-
of-way at east side of entrance and north of bike trail. This location will be temporary and
reviewed at the first Plan Commission Meeting in April of 1998. The sign stmcture will be
reduced to 6 x 8.
