PCR1997232RESOLUTION #P.C. 232-97 APPROVAL OF AN OPERATIONAL SIGN AND MAIN IDENTIFICATION GROUND SIGN FOR BERG CONSTRUCTION, INC., AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT W188 S7820 AND W188 S7830 RACINFi AVEW WHEREAS, Plans for an operational sign and main identification ground sign by Bauer Sign Co., were submitted for the Berg Construction twin office buildings on Racine Avenue on November 21, 1997, and WHEREAS, The ground sign would be a two (2) kided 28 square feet ground sign and would be framed by a 7 X 10 foot brick pedestal along the Racine Avenue entry, and WHEREAS, The directional sign would contain 36 square feet and would be placed perpendicular to the Racine Avenue entry and would contain tenant information, and WHEREAS, The property is zoned RS-2/00S and said signage conforms with the requirements of Section 6.09 of the Zoning Ordinance and requires Plan Commission approval prior to the issuance of a building and zoning permit, and WHEREAS, Per Section 6,09(6)(b) the Plan Commission is charged with the responsibility of determining reasonable size and necessity for all operational signs. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of a ground and wall sign as described for the Berg Construction twin office buildings located at W188 S7820 and I W188 S7830 Racine Avenue. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspect of this shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $1 00 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
