PCR1997231WHEREAS, Plans for a 20 square foot free standing sign and a 63.5 square foot wall sign were submitted by Bauer Sign Co., for the Post Ofice on November 21, 1997, and WHEREAS, The free standing sign would be two (2) sided, 20 square feet, and added to the common free standing sign structure were two (2) other compatible signs currently share the same structure, and WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-4/0PD, and said signage does not conform with the requirements of Section 6.09 of the Zoning Ordinance and requires Plan Commission approval prior to the issuance of a building and zoning permit. WHEREAS, The wall to be placed along the front facade of the multi-tenant structure needs to be reduced to 58 square feet to be in compliance with the sign ordinance. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of a free standing sign and wall sign as described for the Post Office at the property addressed at S74 W16860 Janesville Road subject to the wall signage not exceeding 58 square feet. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspect of this shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
