RECOMMENDATION OF DISAPPROVAL
OF THE AMENDED ESTABLISHED STREET AND HIGHWAY WIDTH MAP
OF WAUKESHA COUNTY
WHEREAS, The Waukesha County Board of Supervisors, at their meeting of June 10,
1997, approved to amend the Established Street and Highway Width Map of Waukesha County,
and
WHEREAS, The map was adopted in 1954, and amended in 1977, pursuant to Section
80.64 of the Wisconsin State Statues, which also requires municipalities to adopt, prior to the
map becoming effective in an individual community, and
WHEREAS, Parts of one or more of the highways affected by said map are located within
the City of Muskego, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 8, Section 8.01, Street Widths of the City Ordinance, establishes
The City of Muskego has established the Year 2010 City of Muskego Arterial Street and
Highway System Plan as its road and highway width map, and
WHEREAS, The Amended Established Street and Highway Width Map of Waukesha
County, as adopted on June 10, 1997 by the County Board of Supervisors of Waukesha County
contains inconsistencies4 as they relate to:
1 Inconsistent alignment, status and width ofMoorland Road (C.T.H. “0).
2. Inconsistent width designation of Racine Avenue.
3. Inconsistent width designation of Crowbar Road North of Janesville Road.
4. Inconsistent width designation of Old Loomis Drive (C.T.H. “G’) south of its

6. Inconsistent width of Durham Drive.
7 Inconsistent width of Martin Drive.
8. Inconsistent width of Woods Road.
9. Inconsistent width of CTH “00 and US HWY “45”
10. Inconsistent width of Tess Comers Drive.
intersection with Muskego Dam Road.
WHEREAS, The map is not in compliance with Statutorial requirements as they relate to
establishing street and highway width maps by and providing proper notice to affected property
owners, and to ensure a technically sound manner in which centerline alignments and adequate
widths are provided.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission disapproves of the
Established Street and Highway Width Map of Waukesha County at this time for those
~ncons~stenc~es and Statutorial non-compliance. ...
