APPROVAL OF A HOBBY KENNEL AT THE WAMSER PROPERTY
LOCATED AT S75 W20755 FIELD DRIVE
WHEREAS, An application for a hobby kennel to hold ultimately 15 dogs was submitted by
Carl and Judith Wamser for the property located at S75 W20755 Field Drive, and
WHEREAS, Per Sec. 8.01 (7) B:13 of the Zoning Code permits one additional dog per acre
over the permitted two (2) licensed dogs permitted in the Municipal Code, subject to Plan
Commission approval, and
WHEREAS, This parcel contains only three (3) acres, thus permitting a maximum of five
(5) dogs, however, if combined with adjacent 16.7 acre parcel, 21 dogs would be permitted, and.
WHEREAS, It is proposed to house up to I5 dogs in a remodeled garage that is attached to
an existing house, and no exterior modifications are proposed at this time.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of a hobby kennel
for a maximum of 15 dogs at the property located at S75 W20755 Field Drive subject to
obtaining all necessary building and zoning permits for the garage remodeling, and the
combination of the 3 acre parcel with the 16.7 acre parcel prior to the issuance of building or
zoning permits for the garage remodeling. e BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the conditions of approval
shall result in the issuance of fines of $100 per day per violation, the initiation of legal action or
both.
