RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL BY THE PLAN COMMISSION
TO THE COMMON COUNCIL TO REZONE THE PROPERTY LOCATED
IN THE SE 'h OF SECTION 33 FROM EA. EXCLUSIVE AGRICULTURAL TO
ENOIF', EXCLUSIVE AGRICULTURAL WITH AN INSTITUTIONAL PUBLIC
SERVICE OVERLAY
WHEREAS, The. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has requested to rezone a 1.5
acre portion of state right-of-way from EA, Exclusive Agricultural to ENOIP, Exclusive
Agricultural with an Institutional Public Service Overlay, to create a public fishing access site on the
property located in the southeast comer of the intersection of SH 36 (Loomis Road) and the
Muskego Canal, and
WHEREAS, The surrounding properties are zoned EA, Exclusive Agricultural and are rural
in character, and
WHEREAS, The site currently has a paved, off road parking area, and the DNR plans to
expand the site to an eight (8) car-trailer parking lot and a turn-a-round and a concrete plank boat
ramp to launch smaller water craft into the Muskego Canal, and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego Land Use Plan for the Year 2005 anticipates this area to
e maintain an agricultural and rural character, and
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing has been scheduled before the Common Council on July 8,
1997, and properties within 300 feet of said parcel have been properly identified.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The Plan Commission does hereby recommend approval
to the Common Council for the rezoning of 1.5 acres located in the SE Vi of Section 33 from EA,
Exclusive Agricultural to ENOIP, Exclusive Agricultural with an Institutional and Public Service
Overlay.
