PCR1997114* RESOLUTION #P.C. 114-97 RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO THE COMMON COUNCIL TO AMEND THE FLOODPLAIN MAP FOR THE UNNAMED TRIBUTARY (UNOFFICIALLY KNOWN AS PLUM CREEK) OF THE BIG MUSKEG0 LAKE WHEREAS, The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has requested that the City amend the Floodplain Map to include the properties northwest of the Plum Creek Development, between Janesville Road and Woods Road, and WHEREAS, The floodplain map was amended by the City in 1993 for the Plum Creek Addition No. 1 Subdivision and the Plum Creek East Subdivision, and WHEREAS, Prior to the adoption of the map amendment by FEMA, FEMA has requested that the 100 year flood elevation for the properties northwest of the Plum Creek Development, between lanesville Road and Woods Road, be delineated, and WHEREAS, A revised map showing the delineation has been submitted to the Planning Department by Pioneer Engineering, dated May 4,1993, and WHEREAS, When this map is compared to the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Plan Commission delineation provided in the November of 1992 revised topographic maps, which is @ based off the 1990 flood insurance study letter of map amendment, said delineations do not conform, and WHEREAS, This non-conformity is attributed to a higher degree of accuracy of analysis for the information depicted on the May 4, 1993 delineation map submitted by Pioneer Engineering. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends approval of the amendment to the floodplain map for the unnamed tributary (unofficially known as Plum Creek) of the Big Muskego as depicted on the map submitted by Pioneer Engineering on May 4, 1993.
