PCR1997107RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR RESOLUTION #P.C. 107-97 REZONING THE PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE NW 1/4 OF SECTION 31 FROM RS-2, SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO A RS-2/0IP, SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT WITH AN INSTITUTIONAL PUBLIC SERVICE OVERLAY(MUSKEG0-NORWAY SCHOOLS) WHEREAS, Muskego-Norway Schools has applied for a rezoning of a 58.78 acre parcel located in the NW 1/4 of Section 31 from RS-2 to RS-2/0IP, and been scheduled for May 27, 1997, and WHEREAS, A Public Hearing before the Common Council has Agricultural and EA, Exclusive Agriculture and are primarily low intensity uses such as farmed land, and WHEREAS, The properties north of the subject site are zoned WHEREAS, The properties to the west are zoned RS-2 and Agriculture and contain low density development and farmed land, and RS-2/0IP and contain the City's Denoon Park, and WHEREAS, The properties to the south and east are zoned WHEREAS, The properties further south are zoned Agricultural with farmed land uses and the property further east contains the Lake Meadows Subdivision, a 220 unit planned development subdivision, and WHEREAS, The Comprehensive Plan recommends medium density development in the area, and WHEREAS, The proposed middle school will maintain a low density impact but will be a medium intensity use. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends approval of the proposed rezoning of the subject property from RS-2, Suburban Residence District to RS-2/0IP, Suburban Residence District with an Institutional Public Service Overlay.
