RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL BY THE PLAN COMMISSION TO THE
COMMON COUNCIL FOR THE PURCHASE OF PARKLAND MALL
of Muskego make an offer to purchase the Parkland Mall Property
located at S74 W17000 Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has recommended that the City
WHEREAS, State Statues require that the Plan Commission make
a recommendation to the Common Council prior to the purchase of
real property for public purposes, and
elections passed asking if the City should pursue locating the
WHEREAS, A referendum presented at the November 5, 1996
Muskego Public Library at Parkland Mall.
WHEREAS, City purchase of the Parkland Mall will serve to
reduce the costs of constructing a new free-standing library,
further the goal of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan in better
establishing a vibrant downtown area, and reinvigorate the
Parkland Mall property.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission
recommends approval to the City of Muskego Common Council for
the purchase of Parkland Mall property as the purchase will
serve to reduce the costs of constructing a new free-standing
better establishing a vibrant downtown area, and reinvigorate
library, further the goal of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan in
the Parkland Mall property.
