RECOMMENDATION BY THE PLAN COMMISSION TO REZONE A PORTION OF
THE PROPERTY LOCATED IN A PORTION OF THE NE 1/4 OF THE NE 1/4
OF SECTION 36 FROM 1-2, GENERAL INDUSTRIAL TO 1-2/OIP,
GENERAL INDUSTRIAL WITH AN INSTITUTIONAL PUBLIC SERVICE OVERLAY
FOR A FIRE ARMS TRAINING RANGE
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego Police Department, in
conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is
proposing to build a Fire Arms Training Range at the property
located at W124 S10629 USH 45, and
WHEREAS, This site is the location of the Superior Emerald
Park Landfill, and
WHEREAS, The Police Department will lease the property from
Superior Emerald Park, and
illustrates the construction of berm structures which will
enclose the active portions of the fire arms range for sound
deadening and safety reasons, and
WHEREAS, The conceptual Building, Site and Operation Plan
WHEREAS, A detailed Building Site and Operational Plan will
need to be submitted for Plan Commission review and approval
following approval of the rezoning. a
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission of the
City of Muskego does hereby recommend approval to the Common
Council of the rezoning of the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section
36, from 1-2, General Industrial to 1-2/OIP General Industrial
with an Institutional Public Service Overlay for the development
of a fire arms training range.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this recommendation of approval
