FOR THE CITY OF MUSKEG0
WHEREAS, In February of 1996 the Mayor's Task Force on
Economic Development (Task Force) conducted a Survey of
Janesville Road businesses to solicit input on steps the City
could take to improve the business climate, and
WHEREAS, Among many responses, one step was to develop a
Plan and theme for the Downtown area, and
WHEREAS, In response, the Task Force worked to develop
design standards which would communicate a theme yet preserve
within the Downtown area.
and enhance the quality of existing and proposed development
WHEREAS, In culmination of sixth months of study and
discussion, on November 21, 1996 the Task Force approved the
final draft of the City of Muskego Downtown Design Manual
following input from the Plan Commission.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That as a tool to be used by
Planning Staff and Plan Commission members in evaluating
development and redevelopment proposals in the Downtown, the
Mayor's Task Force on Economic Development hereby presents to
Design Guide.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That under the authority of
Wisconsin State Statute Section 62.23, City of Muskego Zoning
Ordinance Chapter 17 Section 6.11, and The City of Muskego
Comprehensive Land Use Plan, the Plan Commission hereby accepts
and approves the City of Muskego Downtown Design Manual.
