PCR1996151RESOLUTION #P.C. 151-96 THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF MUSKEG0 IN THE NW 1/4 AND SW 1/4 OF SECTION 2 AND THE NE 1/4 AND SE 1/4 OF SECTION 3 FROM RESIDENTIAL LAND USES TO INDUSTRIAL, OFFICE AND APPROVAL BY THE PLAN COMMISSION TO AMEND COMMERCIAL LAND USES. have been optioned and/or sold, and WHEREAS, All public lands within the Muskego Industrial Park availability of lands for industrial, office and commercial development, and WHEREAS, The City receives regular inquires regarding the WHEREAS, Without available lands within the City of Muskego, existing industry needing to expand is forced to look to other communities in fulfilling expansion needs despite the desire to remain in Muskego, and WHEREAS, In September of 1994 the Mayor's Task Force on Economic Development was formed and charged with the task of, among others, identifying locations within the City considered to be suitable for business park development, and WHEREAS, After much consideration, through the recommendation of the Mayor's Task Force on Economic Development of Muskego (Adopted September 15, 1992) be amended to indicate it is proposed that the Comprehensive Land Use Plan of the City that the above described lands illustrated on exhibit "A" are set aside for future development of a business park consisting of industrial, office and commercial land uses all in a effort to provide land use options which serve to expand and diversify the tax base, provide employment opportunities for Muskego residents and promote the general economic prosperity of the City of Muskego, and existing arterial highways and the availability of sanitary WHEREAS, Among other considerations such as proximity to sewer and municipal water, the anticipated extension of Moorland Road makes the lands described in Exhibit "A" a desirable location for the above described land uses. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That in consideration of the findings of the Mayor's Task Force on Economic Development the Plan Commission of the City of Muskego does hereby approve of an amendment to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan of the City of Muskego (adopted September 15, 1992) changing the area land uses described in Exhibit "A" from low density residential and commercial to industrial for the future development of a business park containing industrial, office and commercial land uses.
