(EA) TO HIGHWAY BUSINESS (B-4) FOR GEORGE STEINHAUS FOR THE
PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE SE 1/4 OF SECTION 34

WHEREAS, A petition has been submitted by George Steinhaus
to rezone the property in the SE 1/4 of Section 34 from EA to
B-4 for the purpose of development of a 40 acre parcel, and
WHEREAS, As a result of dredging material being placed upon
been substantially decreased to a point where farmers are
the subject lands, current agricultural production capacity has
reluctant to rent, and
that this site should produce 40 bushels of soybeans per acre on
WHEREAS, The Soil Conservation Service Field Guide states
a ten year average with the first year of planting (1994)
yielding a 10 bushel per acre average, and
Common Council to consider a formal rezoning petition, and
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing will need to be held before the

WHEREAS, This property is surrounded by A-Agricultural and
Union Church Road and the Town of Norway, and
EA-Exclusive Agricultural zoning and bordered to the south by
WHEREAS, These properties are depicted on the Comprehensive
Land Use Plan for the City of Muskego as agricultural and rural,
and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission
disapprove of the concept of the rezoning request from EA to B-4
for the property in the SE 1/4 of Section 34 on Union Church
Road for George Steinhaus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission finds the
request to be contrary to existing zoning, incompatible with
Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the City of Muskego.
