AT S73 W14225 WOODS ROAD
APPROVAL OF A 21' x 30' ACCESSORY STRUCTURE
submitted on February 28, 1996, by Michael J. Esser to construct a
WHEREAS, A site plan and construction information were
21' X 30' Accessory Structure at the residence located at S73
W14225 Woods Road, and
WHEREAS, The location of the accessory structure will meet the
appearance would be compatible with the applicant's residence and
setbacks of the RS-2 zoning district and the architectural
surrounding area, and
WHEREAS, The petitioner is proposing to construct a 630 sq.ft.
accessory structure.
WHEREAS, The accessory structure is intended to be used for
tools and the Plan Commission has authority to approve the type and
storage of yard and garden equipment, and lumber and wood working
the residence, and
size of accessory structures within 60% of the ground floor area of
WHEREAS, This request represents 45% of the ground floor area
of the home, and
WHEREAS, Section 17:4.02(2)3. states "...No private garage in a
residence district shall be used for the carrying on of any metal
working, wood working, masonry, carpentry, contracting or repair
business except as a permitted accessory use or home occupation,
and
WHEREAS, Materials submitted do not propose the use neither of
this nor any other structure on the property for business related
activities, and
WHEREAS, The wood working area is limited to 420 square feet,
the lawn and garden storage area is to be 110 square feet, and the
additional approximate 100 square feet is for proposed office
space.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of
the accessory structure, not to exceed 630 square feet and a height
of 15 feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That subject second garage shall
