DISAPPROVAL TO INSTALL ONE PERMANENT TWO SIDED READER BOARD
SIGN FOR HARDEE'S LOCATED AT S74 W17095 JANESVILLE ROAD
WHEREAS, Hardee's has requested one permanent two sided reader
RESOLUTION #P.C. 94-94
board internally illuminated sign 3' 7 3/4" x 4'4" located at 574
W17095 Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, The base setback from the centerline of Janesville
Road would be 60', and
WHEREAS, The proposed sign will be installed on the existing
sign structure, a portion of which is located inside of the
right-of-way of Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, The proposed sign as presented by petitioner totals
15.85 square feet, and
WHEREAS, The square footage of the existing sign (42.89 sq.
ft.), combined with the square footage of the proposed sign totals
58.74 square feet, and
WHEREAS, The maximum allowable square footage for free standing
signage at this location is 51.5 square feet thus representing an
overage by this request of 7.24 square feet.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission disapprove
reader board sign measuring 3' 7 3/4" x 4' 4" for Hardee's located
the request for a permanent two sided, internally illuminated,
Appeals and the acquisition by the petitioner of all appropriate
at S74 W17095 Janesville Road subject to approval by the Board of
permits.
