SIGN WITH A MESSAGE BOARD BY WHITE WAY SIGN FOR THOMAS JEWELERS
APPROVAL TO REPLACE THE EXISTING DATE AND TEMPERATURE
LOCATED AT 576 W18035 JANESVILLE ROAD
WHEREAS, White Way Sign has requested to replace a portion of
the existing sign for Thomas Jewelers from a date and temperature
reading to a self illuminated electronic changeable message center
located at 576 W18035 Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-3 and subject to the
requirements for free standing signs as specified in the 8-2 Zoning
District, and
WHEREAS, The overall size of the sign and location of the
existing sign is not proposed to be changed.
WHEREAS, The Plan Commission has granted approval of this type
of sign in the past.
self illuminated electronic changeable message center for the
Thomas Jewelers located at S76 W18035 Janesville Road subject to
the message being a non-scrolling horizontal text alternating with
the Time and Temperature, and the hours of operation of the sign
being from 6 A.M. until 12 Midnight.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve the
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That if the electronic message sign
should create a safety problem (based on a report from the Chief
of Police) in the future, that Thomas Jewelers would have to
restrict the message to time of day and temperature.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That an electrical permit must be
obtained from the Building Inspection Department prior to
installation.
