APPROVAL OF LAND SPREADING OF DREDGE MATERIAL FROM WIND LAKE
OF SECTION 34 BY KATHY ARON OF THE WIND LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
THE GEORGE STEINHAUS PROPERTY, TAX KEY # 2296.998 IN THE SE 1/4
AND RUST ENVIRONMENT & INFRASTRUCTURE INC.
WHEREAS, A request has been received from the Wind Lake
Management District and RUST Environment and Infrastructure
Steinhaus in the SE 1/4 of Section 34, and
Inc., to place dredge material on property owned by Mr. George
WHEREAS, The property is on the north side of Union Church
Road adjacent to the Town of Norway and is zoned EA - Exclusive
Agriculture, and
similar requests in the past for projects related to Lake Denoon
and Little Muskego Lake, and
WHEREAS, The Plan Commission has reviewed and approved
WHEREAS, The request is to land-spread mechanical dredge
material which will be hauled within leak-proof trucks from the
dredge sites directly to the site via County Road G and Union
Church Road, and
WHEREAS, This portion of Union Church Road is maintained by
the Town of Norway, therefore a road bond should not be
required, and
WHEREAS, Because of the amount of fill material, a fill
permit is required by City Ordinance.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve
of Wind Lake Management District's dredging project on property
the placement of dredge material solely from Wind Lake as part
owned by Mr. George Steinhaus in the SE 1/4 of Section 34
subject to prohibiting the placement of fill in the
Shoreland/Wetlands or the 100 Year FEMA floodplain, and subject
to approval of a Fill Permit by the Building Inspection
Department which shall establish a date by which the site shall
be seeded for ground cover and restored to functional cropland.
