PCR1993062aAMENDED RESOLUTION #P.C. 62-93 RECOMMENDATION OF DISAPPROVAL OF REZONING FROM RS-2(TAX KEY #2224.998) AND RS-3 (TAX KEY #2223.980) TO RSM IN THE SE & SW 1/4 OF SECTION 16 AT THE NE CORNER OF RACINE AVENUE AND WOODS ROAD FOR RUDOLF HEINRICH AND GREGORY BOEHM property in the SE & SW 1/4 of Section 16 from RS-2 & RS-3 to WHEREAS, A petition has been submitted to rezone the RSM for the purpose of multi-family residential development on an 11.40 acre parcel and a 19.58 acre parcel, and Subdivision which is a mixed-density Planned Development WHEREAS, This property is directly east of Woodcrest Heights containing singly family, duplexes and multi-family units, south of a church and vacant land, bordered on the east by low density residential development, and on the south by business and low density residential development, and the update of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan from RS-1 to RS-2 and RS-3 and the rezoning to multiple family would not be consistent with the adopted Comprehensive Land Use Plan unless the Plan was amended, and WHEREAS, These properties were recently rezoned as part of WHEREAS, A Public Hearing is scheduled to be held before the Common Council on April 13, 1993 to consider the petition. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommend to the Common Council that the rezoning request from RS-2 & RS-3 to RSM for the properties in the SE & SW 1/4 of Section 16 be denied because the density requested is not consistent with the adopted Comprehensive Land Use Plan. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission would be receptive to OPD Overlay Planned Development zoning with the existing zoning.
