RECOMMENDATION TO AMEND CHAPTER 17, SECTION 17:6.09 (13), OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO, ZONING ORDINANCE,
SIGNS
WHEREAS, The City Plan Commission tabled Resolution #P.C.
275-92 regarding Approval of Lions Club Mobile Reader Board Sign
For Advertising Civic Events in order to examine an Ordinance
amendment regarding temporary signs for all civic organizations,
and
WHEREAS, Chapter 17, Section 17:6.09 (13), regulates signs
in the City for Quasi-public Informational Signs which reads:
community welcome, safety warning, or other similar nature not
"Non-commercial signs of a general informational nature such as
to exceed 12 square feet in area may be erected by service clubs
or other non-profit organizations upon approval of the Plan
Commission of the location, size and appearance of such sign. No
such sign may be directly illuminated".
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission of the
City of Muskego does hereby recommend that the Common Council
amend Chapter 17, Section 17:6.09 (13), Zoning Ordinance,
regulating Quasi-public Informational Signs as follows:
(13) Quasi-public Informational Signs.
(A) Non-commercial permanent signs of a general informational
nature such as community welcome, safety warning, or other
similar nature not to exceed 32 80 square feet in area may be
erected by service clubs or othernon-profit organizations upon
approval of the Plan Commission of the location, size and

(B) No more than three (3) non-commercial temporary siqns used
community event not to exceed 32 square feet (each) in area may
be erected by service clubs or other non-profit organizations
