APPROVAL OF LIONS CLUB MOBILE READER BOARD SIGN FOR ADVERTISING

WHEREAS, The Lions Club has sponsored many worthwhile civic

with flashing lights which is used to advertise civic events all
over the City such as their Pancake Breakfast or the Historical
Society's Haunted Barn program during Halloween, and
WHEREAS, The sign is usually placed at a location
temporarily, for approximately three weeks, and
WHEREAS, The Plan Commission has the authority to regulate
temporary signs as stipulated in Section 17:6.09 (12) of the
City's Code of Ordinances and the portable sign meets the
criteria in that section of the Municipal Code.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, The Plan Commission of the
City of Muskego grant blanket approval to the Lions Club for the
placement of their portable reader board sign for the sole
purpose of advertising civic events and that the portable sign

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the location of the sign
conform to the setback requirements of the Zoning Ordinance in
that the sign must be placed behind the Base Setback line as
specified in the City's Zoning Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the use of the sign is
restricted to the advertisement of civic events and that should
the sign be used for any commercial use, Plan Commission review
is required.
