PCR1992220c AMENDED RESOLUTION #P.C. 220-92 APPROVAL OF MODIFICATIONS TO THE EXISTING FREESTANDING SIGN FOR JOHNNY'S PETROLEUM 576 W17871 JANESVILLE ROAD WHEREAS, Jack Strasser of Johnny's Petroleum is requesting sign approval for modifications to the existing freestanding sign and for the placement of signage (lettering) on the new gasoline canopy, and WHEREAS, No additional signage is being requested on the relocated canopy, and WHEREAS, The existing freestanding sign presently contains a individual credit card signs, and a freestanding "alignment" "Goodyear" sign, a "High Quality Gas for Less" sign, three sign, and WHEREAS, The proposed modifications include the elimination of the "alignment" sign by replacing it with the "gas prices" masonry base, and sign which will include a credit card portion and a decorative illuminated and be placed in the same location as the present sign and the total square footage exceeds that which is normally permitted in the B-3 Zoning District, however, the Plan Commission has authority to approve the type and size of signage for properties with Conditional Use Permits pursuant to Section 17:6.03 (3) C. WHEREAS, The signs will be two-sided, freestanding, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve the modifications to the existing free standing sign and also approve the lettering on the new canopy on the East and West sides. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, A sign permit is required to be obtained from the Building Inspection Department for both the canopy sign and the freestanding signs prior to erecting.
