PCR1992204RESOLUTION #P.C. 204-92 APPROVAL OF FLAT-WALL SIGNS FOR UNITED AUTO BODY AT S73 W16437 JANESVILLE ROAD request for United Auto Body for flat wall signs and five freestanding wood signs resembling autos with painted copy, and WHEREAS, Randy and Laurie Czaplewski have submitted a sign WHEREAS, The flat wall signs will be painted directly on the building in the same manner as the flat wall sign on the west be cutouts of automobiles with painted copy describing business side of the building and the five freestanding wood signs will services such as "Auto Detailing", and WHEREAS, The business is located in a B-4 Zoning District which permits five percent of the wall area on which the sign is to be located to be used for flat wall signs and permits one freestanding sign, and WHEREAS, The flat wall signs meet the five percent allowance of the 8-4 Zoning District however the business presently contains an existing freestanding sign, and portable, changeable letter sign to advertise a special Halloween event at the Old Muskego Settlement Center for the first three weeks of October, 1992. WHEREAS, The request includes the placement of a temporary, 0 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve the flat wall signs for United Auto Body if placed in conformance with the submitted sketches and subject to the requirements of the 8-4 Zoning District which stipulate that the signs not exceed five percent of the wall area on which the sign is to be located. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, A sign permit is required to be obtained from the Building Inspection Department prior to erecting (painting) the signs (with the exception of the temporary sign) and that double permit fees are required for the existing 67.5 square foot sign on the west side of the building.
