AMENDED
WHEREAS, A site plan and description of operation has been
submitted by John Jewel1 of BFI Waste Systems, and
WHEREAS, The applicat.ion is a request to spread grass
clippings, brush and leaves over approximately 15 acres of
property zoned Exclusive Agriculture, and
WHEREAS, The Exclusive Agriculture zone district allows
experimental uses of property related to agriculture with a
conditional use grant, an.d
WHEREAS, The site plan indicates that the area to be used for
the operation will not en.croach into the shoreland/wetland, and
rubbish or other solid waste material be allowed to be disposed of
WHEREAS, The operation plan indicates that no plastic bags,
at the site.
0 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve the
conditional use grant for BFI Waste Systems.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the approval be subject to the
following conditions:
1. That the material conveyed to the site will consist of
grass clippings, leaves and small brush and shall not contain any
other type of waste material, rubbish or trash.
2. That the material conveyed to the site shall not exceed
20,000 cubic yards and that the material shall be spread only
within the area described on the applicant's site plan (map).
3. That the material will be spread to a 6" depth and
rototilled into the soil to control wind erosion of the materials
immediately upon arrival at the site it will also then be
if conditions are right for spreading (weather permitting) or
within 12 hours.
4. That the delivery of the waste material shall take place
only during the hours of 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday and
1O:OO AM - 1:00 PM Saturday during April 15th - December 1st.
