RE:SOLUTION #P.C. 40-91
FLOODPLAIN ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego has been notified that our
Floodplain Zoning Ordinance is no longer in compliance with the
current DNR (Department of Naturual Resources) and the FEMA
(Federal Emergency Management Agency) regulations, and
WHEREAS, In order to continue in the National Flood Insurance
Program it is necessary to adopt the changes that have been made
since 1982, and
WHEREAS, In order not to create confusions, it is desirable
that the city adopt the new model floodplain ordinance.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommend
to the Common Council that Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code
model written by the DNR be adopted.
Floodplain Ordinance be repealed and the new floodplain ordinance
