WHEREAS, The Planning Commission has received a request
asking for authorization to fill in a pond in the Industrial
Park, and
WHEREAS, This pond is zoned wetlands, and
WHEREAS, The filling of wetlands are not permitted except
by approval of the Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, This pond is not part of a drainage system.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Planning Commission
approve the placing of excess soil fill into the pond.
THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this approval does
not usurp the authority of the DNR or the necessity of obtaining
a permit from the Corps. of Engineers.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the pond abutting and part of
Lot 9, Block 2 of the Industrial Park be filled first.
