RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF REZONING FROM RS2 TO 82 NE 1/4 SECTION 5 - MICHAELS
WHEREAS, The City has received a petition to rezone 4.052
acres of land in the NE 1/4 of Section 5 from RS2 to B2, and
WHEREAS, This property lies approximately 250' north of a
B2 district, and
WHEREAS, It is also proposed to divide 4.052 acres from
approximately 5.8 acres, and
WHEREAS, The remaining 1.734 acres will remain in the RS2
district, and
WHEREAS, If the rezoning is approved it will leave
approximately 250' of residential district between two B2 zoning
districts.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve
the zoning and recommend that the Common Council modify the
request by including the west 600' to 700' of the parcel directly
to the south to also be included in the B2 zoning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this zoning is contingent on
the availability of commercial access directly to Racine Avenue.
