PCR1987095ARCHITECTURAL APPROVAL/DISAPPROVAL PIZZA HUT SIGN
RESOLUTION #P.C. 95-87
WHEREAS, The Pizza Hut has requested an expansion to their
sign located at S73 W16730 Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, This sign exceeds the size of the Signage
permitted in this B4 district, and
WHEREAS, This addition to the sign was for a reader board
type of sign measuring 23.12 square feet, and
WHEREAS, The Board of Appeals was concerned about how many
changeable letter signs should be permitted on Highway 24, and
WHEREAS, They felt that changeable letter signs could be
architecturally unacceptable because of safety and aesthetic
value, and
WHEREAS, It was the concern of the Board of Appeals that
the Plan Commission review the city ordinance and guidelines
regarding signs with changeable letters.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission
architecturally disapprove the Pizza Hut sign as
approve/disapprove
submitted.
