PCR1987061RECOMMENDING TO COMMON COUNCIL TO AMEND
SECTION 8.15 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
RESOLUTION #P.C. 61-87
WHEREAS, Free standing and flat wall signs are permitted in
the 1-1 district, the same as in the B-1 district, and
WHEREAS, Several Plan Commission members have toured the
industrial park and have found that a larger sign would not be
offensive or detrimental to the 1-1 zoning, and
WHEREAS, The B-1 zoning permits up to 3% of the wall area
for a sign, and
WHEREAS, Signs in the B-2 district which permits 5% of the
wall area may be more appropriate in the Industrial Park.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission
recommend to the Common Council that the regulations in Sec. 8.15
(7) B 2 (c) be amended to allow for the same size signs that are
permitted in the B2 district (5% of the wall area).
