RESOLUTION #P.C. 139-86
THE SHORELAND/WETLAND DISTRICT
WHEaEAS, The State has mandated through various state
statutes that the City adopt a Shoreland/Wetland zoning district,
and
WHEREAS, The State has provided the City with a model code,
and
WHEREAS, The City had adopted a Wetland Flood Plain
District in 1963 to protect the wetlands within the City
boundaries, and
WHEREAS, A comparison had been prepared and submitted to
the State, and
WHEREAS, The State has recommended the changes in the
ordinances to comply with those statutes, and
WHEREAS, It is recommended that the zoning ordinances and
district map be amended to include the provisions as mandated by
the State.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the zoning map and the
attached changes to the zoning text be adopted.
