V.F.W. POST #8171
WHEREAS, The V.F.W. has submitted plans for an addition to
their existing building located at ,783 W20778 Janesville Road,
and
WHEREAS, This use is permitted as a conditional use and was
in existence prior to the adoption of the zoning ordinance, and
WHEREAS, It is planned to increase the size of the building
and the use of this addition is a hall that will be available for
meetings, Bingo, receptions and dinners, and
WHEREAS, This property is serviced by a private sewer
disposal system with a private well, and
WHEREAS, The Waukesha County Health Department has
racommended that the request be denied because of the septic
system and soil condition, and
WHEREAS, Alternate methods of sewer disposal may be made,
and
WHEREAS, That the plan is to conncect to the city water
system as soon as it is available, and
WHEREAS, The necessary public hearing has been held.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve
the expansion of the conditional use grant for the V.F.W. at S83
W20778 Janesville Road
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission does set
the following conditions,
OPERATIONS
1. Hours of operation: As per operator's license
2. Performance standards relating to the dust: blacktop
3. Water supply requirements: Hook up to city water
4. Provisions for sewage disposal
5. Other
BUILDINGS
1. New signs attached to the building, location, size,
design (including lighting): Plan Commission approval

2. Exterior lighting of the building: lighting to be
shielded from Highway 24 and adjacent properties

SITES/LANDSCAPING
1. Off-street parking - that the drives and parking area
be asphalted.
2. Outside storage of materials, products or refuse
(location and screening thereof): Garbage area should be
screenedlfenced
3. Finished topography and building grades, retaining
walls, storm water run-off: Matter will be addressed by the
State
4. Landscaping of the site and building (including plant
types, size, spacing): Screening with shrubs as shown on
site plan
5. Pedestrian walkways, terraces, malls (location and
design): As indicated on site plan
6. Signs (free standing) location, size, design
(including lighting): Approval needed by Plan Commission
7. Exterior lighting of the site, location, design and
power
8. Other
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That if the capacity of the V.F.W.
does create a parking problem the Plan Commission would address
said problem at a later date regarding recommendations as to
limiting the capacity of the building.
