RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL - SATELLITE DISH

WHEREAS, as more satellite dishes are beginning to be
dishes as accessory use, and
WHEREAS, the zoning ordinance does not permit satellite
WHEREAS, such use could be architecurally displeasing, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has discussed these structures
at previous meetings.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Plan Commission recommends to
ordinance, Section 4.05 by adding, "I", subject to Plan the Common Council, upon petition of its own motion to amend
Commission approval, satellite dishes may be permitted as
height and is located within the offset and setback regulations
accessory use in any district provided it does not exceed 15' in
of the particular district. In no case shall it be closer to the
base setback line than the principal building and shall be
properly screened on three sides. All plans must be submitted to
the Plan Commission."
