RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL ON REZONING CERTAIN SECTIONS
OF THE CITY TO EA (EXCLUSIVE AGRICULTURE)
WHEREAS, there has been a petition from many farmers
in the City of Muskego to take advantage of the State program
to preserve agricultural land, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and the
State that we preserve agriculture land wherever and whenever
possible, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the zoning district map
and the text to comply with the state regulations, and
WHEREAS, rezoning of these lands to Exclusive Agriculture
zoning is a local decision, and
WHEREAS the Plan Commission, on September 20, 1983, discussed
the Farmland Preservation Act and they concurred that the area
outside of the growth area should be rezoned to Exclusive
Agriculture zoning upon petition.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Plan Commission of the
City of Muskego recommend to the Common Council that they amend
the zoning district map to encompass the lands requested in the
petition.
