RECOMTENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL ON REZONING LAND FROM
R-2 TO RS-2 (DALE DAWSON PROPERTY)
WHEREAS a petition to rezone the Dale Dawson property
has been submitted by Attorney T. Michael Schober in the
Southwest Quarter of Section 5, and
WHEREAS in 1968 the Common Council received a petition
to rezone that area to 1-1 which was denied by Resolution
8155-68, dated August 27, 1968, and
WHEREAS on January 21, 1975, the Plan Commission
recommended to Common Council in Resolution SIP. C. 8-75
that the Common Council initiate a petition to rezone
that area South of Tans Drive, West of Racine Avenue,
from RS-2 to R-1, and
WHEREAS the Common Council in Ordinance #300, dated
May 13, 1975, amended the zoning map to rezone from
RS-2 to R-1, and
WHEREAS the Common Council has indicated that the
area would not be serviced by sewers in 1975, and
WHEREAS the Plan Commission has not recommended to
the Common Council that this area is intended to be
sewered or what the density should be.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Plan Commission
recommends to the Common Council the denial of the
rezoning from R-2 to RS-2.
