PCR1982118-1) RESOLUTION #P C. 118-82 (As Amended) RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL CONTINUATION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT CONTRACT AND PERMIT landfill permit, and WHEREAS, Waste Management has applied for renewal of a Elanagement expires in January, 1983, and WHEREAS, the current contract between the City and Waste WHEREAS Chapter 11.03 of the Municipal Code requires that renewal of such permit, and shall report to the Council as to the Plan Comnission hold a public hearing before granting a the effect of such proposed use upon the character of the neighborhood, the traffic conditions, public utilities and other matters pertaining to the general welfare, and WHEREAS the necessary public hearing has been held, and WHEREAS this use does have an adverse affect on the environ- ment and does affect the surrounding area because of traffic and the operation of trucks and large machinery, and WHEREAS contamination of the wells in the area has been reported. and 0 WHEREAS the landfill site is located in an 1-2 District (General Industrial), and WHEREAS this landfill site has been in operation for many years, and facility at no charge, and WHEREAS City of Muskego residents make use of this WHEREAS Department of Natural Resources approval is required. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Plan Commission of the continuation of the sanitary landfill site by Waste Management City of Muskego does hereby report to the Common Council that the will have no greater affect on the area than it has in the past, to the best of our knowled e. BE IT FURTHER RESOL& that this report does not usurp the authority of the Common Council in the negotiating of a contract with Waste Management.
