€!!COMMENDATION TO AMEND THE FLOOD PLAIN ORDINANCE
(Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code)
WHEREAS the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
has advised that in order for the City of Muskego to maintain
eligibility in the National Flood Insurance Program, the City's
Flood Plain Ordinance adopted July 12, 1977 must be amended in
accordance with their recornendations by December 1, 1982, and
WHEREAS the amendment procedure of the ordinance requires
the Plan Commission to review and make its recommendation to
the Common Council and a public hearing held, the same as for
a zoning ordinance amendment.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Plan Commission of the
City of Muskego does hereby recommend to the Common Council
that Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code (Flood Plain Ordinance)
be amended to incorporate the recommendations of the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to permit continued
eligibility in the National Flood Insurance Program.
