RECOmENDATION TO COUNCIL
COUNTY-WIDE SANITARY DISPOSAL FACILITY
WHEREAS the City of Muskego has been requested by the
Waukesha County Solid Waste Mangement Board to identify at
least one parcel of land within the City that might be suit-
able for use as a potential county-wide sanitary disposal
facility, and
WHEREAS the City of Muskego already has a sanitary landfill
site serving the City and a private company, and
WHEREAS the City of Muskego is part of a growing urbanized
area, and
0 WHEREAS the City of Muskego has just adopted a plan to
protect environmentally sensitive areas, and
WHEREAS the City of Muskego has no municipal water system
and all residences have a private or community well.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Plan Comission of the
City of Muskego does hereby recommend that the Common Council
advise the Waukesha County Solid Waste Management Board that
the City of Muskego has no sites suitable for use as a potential
county-wide sanitary disposal facility.
