C. 114-79 (As Amended) APPROVAL OF GUIDELINES FOR SIGN APPROVAL WHEREAS the architectural subcommittee of the Plan Cormnission has reviewed proposed Guidelines for Sign Approval, and WHEREAS general objectives and standards have been dis- cussed. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Plan Com.ission of the City of Muskego does hereby approve the attached Guidelines for Sign Approval. City of Muskego Plan Commission Adopted August 7, 1979 Defeated Deferred jm a18179 GUIDELINES FOR SIGN APPROVAL GENERAL OBJECTIVES A. Maintain safety by discouraging and eliminating signs that 1. Distract drivers 2. Create confusion in their numbers and in the presen- 3. Impair vision either by their size or location 4. Distract in themselves or in the manner they are tation of their message illuminated, by moving lights, by flashing lights, by excessively bright lights that are temporarily blinding in nature 5. Signs shall be limited in movement and in illumination in ways that will carry out the general objectives set forth. B.
