C. 72-76 APPROVAL OF STREET TREE STANDARDS WHEREAS Section 8.13 of the Land Division Ordinance requires that a subdivider shall plant the species and number of street frontage on all streets proposed to be dedicated. - trees approved by the Plan Commission for each fifty feet of . THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Plan Commission approves the following species as being suitable for street trees: 1. Norway Maple - Acer Platanoides 2. Red Maple - Acer Rubrum - 3. Sugar Maple - Acer Saccharum 4. White Ash - Fraxinus Americana 5. Marshall Seedless Green Ash - Fraxinus Pennsylvania Subintegurima 6. Kentucky Coffeetree - Gpnocladus Dioica 7. Crabapples - Malus Varieties 8. Haphornbeam or Ironwood - Ostrya Virginiana 9. Red Oak - Quercus Rubra 10. Greenspire Linden - Tilia Cordata ~ .. ~ - BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these trees, one per every fifty feet of frontage, shall be located within five feet of the front lot line on streets with rural cross sections; that all trees shall be Class A nursery stock, free of all disease; that all trees shall be 8 to 10 feet in height with 1% to 1% caliper at the point on the trunk 6 inches above grade after planting; that all trees shall be planted and staked using proper and appropriate methods; that no more than 50% of any one species may be used on any street and that bonds for all street trees shall be in effect for 18 months after planting.
