PCR1974076RESOLUTION #P. C. 76-74 RECOMMENDATION OP DENIAL POR REZONING (LOUIS ROZMAM - TRUE VALUE HARDWARE) WHEREAS a petition received from Louis Rozman to rezone approximately 7 acres of property on the south side of Janesville Road in Section 10 from RS-2 to B-2 to permit construction and operation of a retail hardware store was referred to Planning Consultant Mangiamele for review and recommendation, and WHEREAS Planning Consultant Mangiamele has recommended denial of this proposal for the following reasons: 1. The existing zoning south of Highway 24 in this area is primarily residential. 2. The proposed zoning district map limits the amount of commercial along Highway 24. 3. Commercial strip zoning along both sides of Highway 24 would create traffic congestion. 4. The area south of Highway 24 should remain primarily residential. .: -.:~$. .. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Plan Commission of the City of Muskego does hereby recommend to the Common Council denial of this request to rezone approximately 7 acres of property from RS-2 to B-2 to permit a retail hardware store.
