GRANTING SOLID LANDFILL PERMIT TO NORIWN THOhLAS
WHEREAS, Mr. Norman Thomas had appeared on October 3, 1972,
with a request for sanitary landfill, and
WHEREAS, this request was denied by the Common Council, and
WHEREAS, he has now submitted a request for a solid landfill
of primarily non-combustible material, and has filed the necessary
information as required in Ordinance #194 where applicable.
THEREFORE RE IT RESOLVED that the Plan Commission of the City
of Muskego does hereby recommend to the Common Council of the City
of Muskego that Norman Thomas be granted a solid landfill permit
subject to the following:
1. That he also receive a permit from the Department of Natural
Resources.
the use of the premises by only authorized persons a fence acceptable 2. That in order to provide adequate screening and to insure
to the Plan Commission shall. be provided along Tans Drive.
3. That a $35,000 bond be provided to the City of Muskego.
4. That assurance be provided that proper equipment will be on
the premises to insure compaction and coverage.
5. That the hours of operation of the landfill be limited to
7:30 A. M. to 5:30 P. M.
6. That no operation will take place on Sundays.
7. There is strict compliance to Ordinance #194 (An Ordinance
Requiring the Licensing of and Regulating Landfill Disposal Sites)
where applicable.
8. That the material being hauled to the site does not contain
any food particles or putrescible material.
Muskego that the total restoration of the site by solid landfill
method will be completed in three years.
9. That it is the understanding of Mr. Thomas and the City of
City of Muskego
