APPROVAL TO AMEND THE BUILDING, SITE, AND OPERATION PLAN TO
ALLOW A SPORTING CLAY RANGE BUILDING FOR BOXHORN SPORTMEN’S CLUB AT
THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT S90 W13960 BOXHORN DRIVE
(TAX KEY NO. 2254.998.004)
WHEREAS, A request to build a “5 STAND” sporting clay range building has been submitted
by Zachary Runge for the Boxhorn Sportsmen’s Club located at S90 W13960 Boxhorn Drive,
and
WHEREAS, The proposed building will provide a comfortable waiting/viewing area, an
extremely safe shooting layout, and additional storage for the Boxhorn Gun Club, and
WHEREAS, The Boxhorn Gun Club provides NSCA 5-STAND sporting events consisting of
targets shot in 25 bird increments from five shooting stands with each shooter rotating from
station to station and the proposed building will aid in these events, and
WHEREAS, The proposed structure is to be made of like materials to the rest of the
structures on the site.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the request to build a
“5 STAND” sporting clay range building for the Boxhorn Sportsmen’s Club located at S90
W13960 Boxhorn Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building
Department and that all aspects of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless
otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this
resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
