APPROVAL OF BUILDING, SITE, AND OPERATION PLAN FOR THE SALE OF FIREWORKS AT
THE EJ SALENTINE PROPERTY
(S66 W14444 JANESVILLE ROAD / TAX KEY NO. 2165.973)
WHEREAS, A request has been submitted by Tim Ristow and Jeff Marenda to locate a temporary
sales tent and signs advertising the sale of fireworks at the EJ Salentine property located at S66
W1444 Janesville Road (Tax Key No. 2165.973), and
WHEREAS, The tent canopy will be 15’ x 15’ in size and will contain three 3’ x 10’ banners on the tent,
and
WHEREAS, A site plan has been filed for Staff review and that proof of sanitary facilities
accommodations has been provided, and
WHEREAS, An electrical permit and inspection will be required by the Building Inspection Department
for any electricity hookup, and
WHEREAS, A Transient Merchant License will be required to be obtained from the City Clerks Office.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the request for a temporary
stand at the EJ Salentine parking lot for fireworks sales for Tim Ristow and Jeff Marenda subject to the
following conditions:

1. Dates of operation approved from June 12, 2010, to July 9, 2010, and
2. Hours of operation permitted only from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and
3. A copy of the lease agreement from has been submitted to the Planning Division approving
rental space for Mr. Ristow and Mr. Marenda, and
4. Applicable permits / licensing must be obtained from the Building Inspection department prior
to any site work on the property.
5. Petitioner to obtain a Transient Merchants License from the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.
