RESOLUTION #P.C. 037-2010
APPROVAL OF THE SELECTED FIRM FOR THE DESIGN, FABRICATION, AND INSTALLATION OF
THE RACINE AVENUE GATEWAY SIGN
WHEREAS, A Request for Proposal (RFP) was sent out by the City of Muskego in February 2010 to
solicit proposals for the design, fabrication, and installation of a City monument entry sign for the
Racine Avenue Gateway, and

WHEREAS, Proposals were due at 4:00 PM Friday March 19, 2010 and a total of twelve designs by
five firms were received, and
WHEREAS, The twelve designs were evaluated by City Hall staff and the top nine designs have been
forwarded to Planning Commission to make the final selection as per the directives in the RFP, and
WHEREAS, The official contract for awarding the Moorland Road Gateway sign RFP is by this
resolution of the Plan Commission.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the design submitted by
__________________ for the design, fabrication, and installation of the Racine Avenue Gateway Sign.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the rear of the sign will have the text “Thanks For Visiting”.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the awarded firm shall have the sign completed and installed no
later than June 30, 2010.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Chairman of the Planning Commission is hereby authorized to
sign any necessary documentation outlining the responsibilities of the selected firm.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the old gateway signs, including the community group signs will be
removed as part of this project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Planning Commission is the sole authority on installation of
any gateway signage for the Racine Avenue corridor.
