RESOLUTION #P.C. 036-2009
APPROVAL OF A BUILDING, SITE, AND OPERATION PLAN FOR WELL #9 LOCATED IN THE SE ¼
OF SECTION 13 WITHIN THE BIG MUSKEGO ESTATES SUBDIVISION
(TAX KEY NUMBER 2212.079)
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego Public Utilities Department has forwarded a request for approval of a
building to house Well #9 located in the SE ¼ of Section 13 within the Big Muskego Estates
Subdivision (Tax Key No. 2212.079), and
WHEREAS, A new well is being drilled to maintain adequate water service for Muskego within Outlot 1
in the Big Muskego Estates Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, The well housing will be constructed to look like a new house that matches the basic
character of other homes within the subdivision in order to maintain continuity and aesthetics, and
WHEREAS, Plan Commission traditionally approves all new institutional facilities, thus the new well #9
requires the same approvals, and
WHEREAS, The plans show a new single story dwelling that will have complete landscaping
surrounding the site, and
WHEREAS, The house is to be constructed with siding, face brick, asphalt shingles, and windows, and
WHEREAS, The house will have traditional architectural elements such as ornamental doors, dormers,
shutters, a garage, and window surrounds, and
WHEREAS, The site layout of the site and the landscaping will be similar to that of Well #13 that was
approved last year in Quietwood Creek East II, and
WHEREAS, The site will be fully landscaped and will include a concrete/asphalt driveway and
concrete/asphalt pathways, and
WHEREAS, Any transformers or other mechanical equipment will be adequately screened with
landscaping, and
WHEREAS, The house proposed will need to meet the setbacks/offsets of the I-1 Government,
Institutional, and Public Service District and it does meet the height requirements of the district.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the site plan and housing for
Well #9 located in the SE ¼ of Section 13 within the Big Muskego Estates Subdivision (Tax Key No.
2212.079).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the final site plan and landscape plan are subject to approval by
the Community Development Department before building permits can be issued.
