AUTHORIZING CANCELLATION OF CERTAIN UNCOLLECTIBLE
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
(Rescue)
WHEREAS, the Clerk's Office has advised the Finance Committee there
are certain uncollectible accounts for monies due the city as a
result of providing rescue service, and
WHEREAS, the accounts involve persons who are on Medical Assistance
which are only partially paid through State and Federal a&encies
and the law provides that any unpaid balances are not permitted
to be collected from such persons, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended the cancelling of
the balances due ($640.20).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does
hereby authorize the Clerk-Comptroller to cancel all uncollectible
amounts due the city resulting from rescue services provided to
recipients of Medical Assistance.
