RESOLUTION #137-82 RESOLUTION COMBINING WARDS FOR ELECTION PURPOSES WHEREAS, Section 5.15 (6) (b) of the Wisconsin Statutes provides that a municipality having a population of less than 35,000 may provide, by resolution, that one or more of the wards within said municipality shall use common ballot boxes and voting machines and that separate returns shall nat be main.tair!,ed. SQS, tbc cQfl1biV.d. whrits 'at any election, but sepa€.a'te 'ballot 'boxes and voting machines shall be maintained for each separate ballot required under Section 5.58 to Section 5.64, Wisconsin Statutes, and WHEREAS, the City of Muskego has a populat'ion of less than 35,000 and has been divided into 14 wards for election purposes pursuant to Resolution #174-81, as Amended, by the governing body of the City of Muskego passed and adopted on November 3, 1981. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council that wards in the City of Muskego shall be combined by aldermanic district in the following manner except that Wards 11 and 12 will not be combined in an election when County Board Supervisors are on the ballot. District 1 District 3 Cistrict 2 District 4 District 5 District 7 District 6 Wards 1 and 2 Wards 5 and 6 Wards 3 and 4 Wards 7 and 8 Wards 9 and 10 Wards 11 and 12 Wards 13 and 14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that combined wards shall use common ballot boxes or voting machines and that separate returns shall not be maintained for the combined wards at any election, but separate ballot boxes and voting machines shall be maintained for each separate ballot required under Sections 5.58 to 5.64, electors of one or more of the combined wards who are ineligible and separate voting machines shall be maintained for any to vote for any office or referendum for which other electors in the combined wards may vote.
