ccr1966176RESOLUTION #176 AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO SWDY THE SECTION OF THE CITY FEASIBILITY OF SEWERS IN THE NORTHEAST WHEREAS the Sewer Committee has been advised by the State Board of Health and the Metropolitan Sewer Commission that metropolitan sewers will not be available to Muskego for eight to ten years, and WHEREAS the soils in the northeast part of the City are such that they do not readily permit private disposal units, and WHEREAS private sewer disposal systems presently being used in that area are, for the most part, not functioning properly, and WHEREAS the State Board of Health has indicated a willingness to consider the construction of a temporary sewage disposal system to serve this area if it is determined to be feasible, and has recommended that the Engineering Firm of Ruekert & Mielke WHEREAS the Committee on Public Sewers of the City of Muskego plant, such study to be a part of the City's contract with them be authorized to study the feasibility of a sewage treatment entered into on the 17th day of July, 1962, and WHEREAS the Finance Committee has recommended that this course of action be approved, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, recognizing the sewage disposal problems prevalent in the northeastern section of the City, does hereby authorize the Engineering Firm of Ruekert & Mielke to undertake preliminary studies to determine the feasibility of constructing a sewage disposal plant to serve this area.
